I can summarize the plot of Julius Caesar.

I can analyze and criticize Shakespeare’s writing style.

I can analyze how an author uses characters within a play to convey theme.

As you read, take notes which follow the learning goals to the left.  You might need to define words you don't know, find examples of literary devices being used, and identify different techniques Shakespeare uses.  We will work on this together as a class for the first few days, but after that, you will be expected to work on your own.


At the bottom of the page, you need to summarize, reflect and synthesize the reading for the day.  The towards the end of the reading, you might want to keep in mind that for your final assessment, you will need to answer some questions about the choices Shakespeare made while writing the play.
